Terms and Conditions

DEPOSIT:

A $25.00 deposit is required to reserve your date and is non-refundable. Your date will not be reserved until this has been done.

DOWN PAYMENT:

For orders $200.00 and above, in addition to the deposit, a down payment of 50% is expected 2 months prior to the event date. If the order is scheduled within 2 months of the event date, 50% is expected immediately.

 

FINAL PAYMENT:

For weddings and large events, your final payment must be made 2 weeks prior to your event date. If payment has not been completed by the date indicated, your contract will be null and void, and your cake will not be completed.

 

CAKE CHANGES:

Changes to your order will be accepted up to 2 weeks prior to the event date. I cannot accept any changes after that. Changes may affect the price of your order.

 

ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENT:

Accepted forms of payment are Venmo, PayPal or cash.

 

PICK-UP POLICY:

Please arrive at your scheduled pick-up time. I cannot guarantee that I will be here, if you arrive late. If you end up missing your pick-up time, please contact me immediately to reschedule.

Please make sure that you have a clean, flat surface to set the cake on while in transit. Kris’ Cakes responsibility ends when the cake is accepted and turned over to you.

 

DELIVERY & SETUP:

Delivery and setup will need to be scheduled during normal business hours. There is a $30.00 delivery fee for orders within 15 miles of Kris’ Cakes. If you need delivery outside of this radius, there is an additional fee of $1.25 per mile. If your event is during peak times of the year, delivery will only be available for cakes serving 100+ guests. In the case of an unavoidable occurrence, such as a car accident or extremely poor roads conditions during delivery, Kris’ Cakes cannot be held liable for the cake described in this order and there will be no refund.

 

CANCELATION POLICY:

Cancelations that occur 2 weeks prior to the event date will be refunded, minus the $25.00 deposit. Cancelations after that will not be refunded.

 

INEDIBLE DECORATIONS & SUPPORTS:

Inedible decorations and supports such as plastic straws, wooden dowels, wires (found in some sugar flowers and figures), toothpicks (found in some sugar figures and decorations) or any other plastic figures must be removed before serving or eating. This is the responsibility of the customer to check for these items and remove them.

 

FLOWERS:

In the case of fresh flower usage on the cake, the responsibility of the flower safety and safe food practices will rest with the person placing this order and not with Kris’ Cakes. If the flowers are provided for Kris’ Cakes, I will be happy to arrange them on the cake. If you have a specific floral layout, please provide a photo or sketch of the exact placement. If you would like Kris’ Cakes to provide the flowers, their cost will be added to your total.

 

ORNAMENTS &TOPPERS:

Ornaments and toppers can be delivered to Kris’ Cakes up to 2 weeks prior to your event date. Adding an ornament or topper that is too heavy or not properly secured can damage the cake. Therefore, if any individual, other than Kris’ Cakes, adds an ornament or topper to the cake, Kris’ Cakes cannot be held responsible for any damage that occurs to the cake or ornament/topper.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY RIGHTS:

Kris’ Cakes photographs the cakes and reserves the right to use these photographs for display and/or promotion without compensation to you.

 

FOOD ALLERGIES:

You agree to notify Kris’ Cakes of any food allergies. Our products may contain or come in contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold Kris’ Cakes harmless of any allergic reactions.
